Come già detto parlando delle proprietà chimico-fisiche della molecola di esafloruro di zolfo [1, 2], essa non presenta escrezione attraverso l’emuntorio renale. Se ciò comporta il vantaggio di essere utilizzabile in pazienti con funzionalità renale ridotta, dal punto di vista diagnostico rappresenta un limite per la detection delle lesioni uroteliali in ambito calico-pielico e ureterale.
