Riassunto

Il colloquio clinico può probabilmente essere considerato lo strumento principale della psichiatria, da dove è migrato in altre discipline, come la psicologia clinica, diventandone un elemento altrettanto fondamentale. Può essere di per sé una metodica di indagine clinica e una tecnica terapeutica; in breve, costituisce il quadro in cui si svolge la maggior parte delle forme di contatto con il paziente, incluse le tecniche di valutazione (Lewis, 1996). Per tale motivo questo capitolo, che tratta del colloquio clinico descrivendone i principi generali e discutendo delle specificità dei colloqui con bambini, adolescenti e con i genitori, precede la trattazione delle tecniche di valutazione.
