Abstract
Noninvasive imaging of the coronary arteries has without doubt been a decisive step forward in cardiologic diagnostic procedures. However, we feel it is worth discussing, particularly with the operators of the new imaging modalities, the advantages and limitations of the noninvasive detection of coronary artery disease (CAD), in the light of its clinical and pathophysiologic significance.
