Riassunto
La dermatite da contatto (DC) può essere definita come un’eruzione eczematosa dovuta all’esposizione locale a sostanze irritanti primarie (DCI, dermatite da contatto irritante) o a una risposta allergica a sostanze sensibilizzanti (DAC, dermatite allergica da contatto). Una DCI può verificarsi in chiunque in quanto produce una reazione eczematosa sulla base di un’irritazione, mentre la DAC può comparire solo in soggetti suscettibili in quanto sostenuta da meccanismi immunologici.
