Riassunto
Nei trattamenti palliativi la chirurgia svolge un ruolo importante: l’obiettivo primario di qualsiasi chirurgia palliativa è il sollievo dei sintomi, con conservazione o miglioramento della qualità della vita [1]. Nella pratica oncologica, la chirurgia palliativa si riferisce in generale a interventi chirurgici di natura non curativa. La chirurgia palliativa coinvolge anche le procedure chirurgiche finalizzate principalmente al trattamento dei sintomi o delle complicanze associati al tumore.
