Abstract
La pre-eccitazione rappresenta un’anomalia elettrocardiografica dovuta alla presenza di una via accessoria, che riesce ad attivare una parte di miocardio in maniera anticipata rispetto alle normali vie di conduzione dell’impulso elettrico cardiaco. L’aritmia più frequente è rappresentata dalla tachicardia da rientro lungo la via accessoria. La condizione temibile di questi pazienti è rappresentata dalla fibrillazione atriale con conduzione ai ventricoli lungo la via accessoria ad elevate frequenze, a causa del rischio di degenerazione in fibrillazione ventricolare. É necessaria un’attenta valutazione degli atleti con pre-eccitazione ventricolare, al fine di stratificare il rischio di morte improvvisa. In assenza di cardiopatia e dopo ablazione transcatetere efficace è possibile il ritorno all’agonismo sportivo.
