Abstract

The outcome of patients after lung surgery, beside both a meticulous surgical technique and management of anaesthesia, substantially depends on the quality of postoperative care. However, compared to cardiac surgery, standards in lung surgery and subsequent intensive care have not been established in a similar way [1].
