Abstract
Exercise and hyperventilation are two stimuli which are known to provoke acute airway narrowing in patients with clinically recognised asthma. The sensitivity of a subject to the effects of exercise or hyperventilation is often expressed by symptoms of cough, dyspnea or wheezing and frequently occur as the first sign of asthma, particularly in childhood.
