  • Aldo Fortuna

In pathological conditions of the central nervous system (CNS), neuroepithelial or intrinsic tumors, which arise from cellular elements of the CNS and which are commonly called gliomas, must be distinguished from benign extrinsic tumors, which do not arise from neuroepithelial cells, grow in expansive form, and are noninfiltrating: these include meningiomas, neurinomas hemangioblastoma, and other rare tumors.
