Statistical Design of Control Systems Subject to Censored Measurements of the Controlled Variables

Abstract

A process control approach based on a modified principal component regression (PCR) analysis is presented in this paper. The traditional technique of compressing information to a low dimensional score space is adapted to the presence of controlled variables subject to detection limits. A simple example is presented for illustration purposes.
