Abstract

Liver contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) is leaving the stage of a “rescue” examination in cases of technical failure to become a full imaging modality, like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The success of this new modality requires that some guidelines are followed so that the rate of failure or misdiagnosis is reduced.
