Riassunto
Il ritardo mentale (RiMent) è un’alterazione dello sviluppo che si manifesta prima dei 18 anni e impedisce il raggiungimento di un quoziente intellettivo (QI) superiore a 70, contro un normale di 100 [1]. Contrariamente a quanto avviene per la demenza, la diagnosi di ritardo mentale non richiede obbligatoriamente una compromissione della memoria.
