Riassunto

Esistono diverse condizioni fisiopatologiche in grado di determinare alterazioni della cascata coagulativa o anche solo importanti alterazioni dei dati di laboratorio relativi all’emostasi. La fluidità del sangue all’interno dei vasi, così come la formazione di un coagulo, è il risultato della fisiologica interazione tra proteine ad attività pro e anticoagulante con le piastrine e le cellule endoteliali. Una visione schematica della cascata coagulativa, tradizionalmente suddivisa tra via “intrinseca”, “estrinseca” e “comune”, è sicuramente utile a fini didattici, ma è ormai noto che si tratta, invece, di un processo dinamico, con la continua interazione di feedback positivi tra trombina ed elementi a monte della formazione del coagulo.
