Riassunto
I donatori di sangue in occasione della donazione, e quindi potenzialmente più volte all’anno, vengono sottoposti a controlli clinici finalizzati a valutare la sicurezza del sangue donato. Il controllo sanitario rappresenta spesso una delle motivazioni principali alla donazione di sangue, ed è elemento importante per la fidelizzazione del donatore. Questi controlli (clinici, anamnestici, morfometrici, comportamentali e biochimici) costituiscono un momento estremamente importante per la salute del donatore, in quanto permettono di individuare non solo patologie in atto, ma anche fattori di rischio che possono portare all’insorgenza in futuro di eventi anche gravi. Per molti donatori di sangue, specialmente se giovani e in buona salute, il momento della donazione rappresenta pressoché l’unico controllo sanitario al quale si sottopongono.
