Riassunto
Questo capitolo si occupa di definire il trasferimento tecnologico, al fine di inquadrare le tematiche affrontate nelle parti successive, in particolare rispetto alla più ampia nozione di trasferimento di conoscenze. Un’attenzione particolare é dedicata al tema della titolarità delle invenzioni accademiche, cioè all’appartenenza dei risultati delle ricerche svolte negli enti pubblici di ricerca e nelle università. Su questo aspetto incide la normativa nazionale, così come il potere regolamentare degli enti di ricerca, in quanto espressione dell’autonomia organizzativa. Anche alla luce della titolarità della proprietà intellettuale, viene offerto uno scorcio circa l’evoluzione della situazione in Italia e in Europa in termini di risultati del trasferimento, tema che diviene progressivamente importante in ragione dello sviluppo delle metriche per la misurazione e la valutazione della performance da parte degli enti che svolgono ricerca e trasferimento tecnologico.
