Riassunto

I tumori maligni nasosinusali, con o senza coinvolgimento del basicranio, sono affezioni poco comuni, stimate intorno all’0.8% di tutti i tumori maligni e intorno al 3% dei tumori maligni della testa e del collo [1]. Nonostante le diverse proposte di trattamento, rappresentate dalla chirurgia associata alla radioterapia e/o alla chemioterapia, la prognosi di queste neoplasie è critica. Ess a è condizionata dall’estensione della patologia alle strutture limitrofe come l’apice dell’orbita, l’encefalo, il seno cavernoso, oltre che da istologie particolarmente sfavorevoli come melanoma, carcinoma indifferenziato, carcinomi neuroendocrini, dove la chirurgia puó avere un ruolo prettamente palliativo o di recupero (salvataggio dopo fallimento terapeutico primario).
