Il gioco d’azzardo patologico

Riassunto

Per comprendere il fenomeno del gioco d’azzardo tra i giovani, è importante considerare, in primo luogo, il contesto in cui questo viene a trovarsi. Vi è stata una crescita senza precedenti nel gioco d’azzardo legalizzato e un concomitante spostamento del sentimento pubblico nei confronti del gioco d’azzardo. Nonostante le opinioni sul gioco d’azzardo siano varie, l’opinione negativa verso il gioco d’azzardo si è trasformata in un sentimento di tolleranza e di accettazione. Nell’imma - ginario pubblico, il gioco d’azzardo si è trasformato da vizio illegale ad attività del tempo libero, almeno per gli adulti, socialmente accettabile. L’impatto che questi cambiamenti stanno avendo sulla popolazione dei giovani è, attualmente, un importante argomento di ricerca.
