Sin dalle prime applicazioni cliniche, lo studio della patologia prostatica è stato considerato uno dei più importanti impieghi della RM in ambito addominale, in particolare per l’elevatissima risoluzione di contrasto della metodica, superiore a quella ottenibile con le altre tecniche di imaging [1].
