Riassunto

Il ruolo del radiologo nell’imaging sia genito-urinario che ostetrico-ginecologico negli ultimi anni è cambiato radicalmente. Nella maggior parte dei centri sono gli urologi, i ginecologi e gli ostetrici a eseguire esami diagnostici come l’ecografia, l’urografia, la biopsia imaging guidata e l’isterosalpingografia. I radiologi dovrebbero collaborare in tali valutazioni diagnostiche e procedure, poiché le loro attitudini e il loro training specifico nella diagnostica per immagini aggiunge un valore significativo all’esecuzione di tali procedure. Inoltre, l’introduzione delle tecniche di cross-sectional imaging ha allargato lo specchio delle applicazioni della radiologia in questi campi.
