Le indagini scintigrafiche erano considerate, fino all’utilizzo routinario della TC e della RNM come le più sensibili per la diagnosi delle alterazioni scheletriche; oggigiorno questa asserzione non è più completamente vera ma esistono molte applicazioni in cui la scintigrafia ossea nelle sue diverse forme è insostituibile.
