Riassunto

I tumori del sistema nervoso periferico sono lesioni espansive rare che possono avere origine da qualsiasi nervo. Sono caratterizzati dall’abnorme proliferazione di cellule che costituiscono la struttura del nervo. Possono essere schematicamente divisi in:

  • neoplasie di derivazione mesenchimale, che interessano le guaine e le cellule di sostegno;

  • lesioni di derivazione ectodermica, che interessano la componente propriamente neurale del nervo.
