La TC spirale multistrato (TCMS) è oggi la metodica di elezione per lo studio dell’addome, in grado di offrire un’eccellente e simultanea valutazione degli organi parenchimatosi, dell’apparato gastro-intestinale e delle strutture vascolari splancniche. Le enormi potenzialità della metodica necessitano, però, di un’attenta tecnica di studio: una non idonea preparazione del paziente e la scelta errata del protocollo di acquisizione sono infatti tra le cause più frequenti di errori diagnostici.
