Gli strumenti di visualizzazione dei dati volumetrici ottenuti da un esame di colonscopia virtuale (CV) sono determinanti ai fini di una corretta analisi delle immagini. Infatti, la variabilità dei risultati ottenuti dagli studi di confronto tra CV e colonscopia ottica può essere spiegata non solo dalla diversa esperienza dei lettori, dai parametri tecnici utilizzati e dalla preparazione del paziente (incluso l’utilizzo di tecniche di marcatura dei residui fluidi e fecali), ma anche dalla variabilità delle metodologie di visualizzazione e dei software utilizzati [1, 2, 3].
