Abstract
Interventional radiology is a discipline whereby diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures are carried out either endovascularly or percutaneously, using the guidance of imaging systems (including conventional X-rays, ultrasonography, CT, and MRI). If employed on appropriate indication, it reduces the need for conventional surgery with consequently reduced morbidity [1].
