Abstract
In the near future various kinds of accelerator neutrino experiments, planned to study oscillations and mixing, will provide us with relatively low energy neutrino beams of intensities never reached before. Such beams could also be useful to perform low energy precision tests of the Standard Model and mainly to determine the value of Weinberg angle in a region very different from the one explored by high energy colliders as LEP. We have investigated for the first time the possibility of extracting this value from elastic and quasi-elastic neutrino-nucleon scattering at a superbeam or ß-beam. The main theoretical and experimental aspects of the analysis are discussed here, together with a few significant results.
