Neutrino Oscillation Measurement at Reactors

Abstract

Fifty years after the discovery of the electron anti-neutrino with Cowan and Reines’ experiment [1] at the Savannah River nuclear plant, reactor neutrinos continue to play a leading role, mainly in oscillation studies. After a brief summary of recent results by the KamLAND experiment on the mass difference governing solar oscillations, an overview of the projects for measurement of the θ 13 mixing angle will be presented, focusing on the Double Chooz experiment.
