Si dicono erbe le droghe costituite dall’intera pianta erbacea (escluse le radici), in cui pertanto si possono trovare caule, foglie, fiori, ed eventualmente frutti e semi. Per la loro identificazione si prendono in considerazione alcuni caratteri; i più importanti sono le foglie ed i fiori. Si rimanda pertanto a quanto già detto precedentemente sulla morfologia di queste parti della pianta.
