Abstract

There are numerous systemic diseases, both acquired and hereditary, that affect the thorax. The many radiologic manifestations of these diseases may involve the lungs and pleura as well as cardiovascular, neurologic, hematologic and osseous structures of the thorax. What follows is a summary of the more common of these entities.
