Total Elbow Arthroplasty for Post-traumatic Arthrosis

  • Chapter
Book cover Treatment of Elbow Lesions

Abstract

Posttraumatic arthrosis of the elbow is often characterized by a chronic painful condition frequently associated with stiffness, joint deformity, contractures, bone loss, instability, numerous previous procedures resulting in a poor soft tissue envelope, and damaged and hypersensitive nerves [1]. Its treatment can therefore be difficult with an elevated number of complications.
