Abstract

Business and disputes, usually, go hand-in-hand. In case a company is operating without disputes, it may be simply because of complacency or suffering at the hands of other parties, or it is plain lucky. P.B. Shelley wrote, ‘If winter comes, can spring be far behind?’ With respect to business, it can be said with a lot of certainty, ‘If business comes, can disputes be far behind?’ Disputes are inevitable for any business. What should a business leader do in case a dispute arises? Dispute avoid is considered to be better than dispute resolution. However, there are situations when avoidance is not possible and one has to fight.
