Abstract
Hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (HFLTS) provides a new and more powerful technique to represent the qualitative judgments of experts. Molodtsov [13] proposed soft set theory which is used as a general mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainty. In this paper, we introduce hesitant fuzzy linguistic term soft set (HFLTSS) by combining HFLTS with soft sets. HFLTSS can be used to provide approximate description of an object using linguistic terms. This study also proposes hesitant fuzzy linguistic term soft matrix (HFLTSM) to represent HFLTSS. As an extension of correlation measures in HFLTS, we introduce correlation coefficient in the context of HFLTSS. Finally, the applicability of correlation coefficient in the framework of HFLTSS has been demonstrated using a real-life decision-making problem.
