Abstract
A few species of mealybugs are serious insect pests of black pepper and they infest shoots, leaves, spikes and roots. The nature of damage, associated organisms, natural enemies and strategies for management of these species have been dealt with in this chapter. The mealybugs infesting other spice crops do not cause much damage and have been listed.
