Abstract
In recent years, Matrix converters have received enormous attention, due to their power control capability. They are capable of providing simultaneous transformation of amplitude and frequency of a three phase system. They are simple in structure and use bidirectional switches. In this paper the direct transfer function method is proposed to create variable voltage and variable frequency output and the same is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation software.
