Abstract
With rapidly rising global temperature, containment of carbon footprint is an issue of paramount importance. This study shows that green portfolios are more stable choice of investment over gray portfolios, especially during the times of crisis. For major global firms, their profitability is closely connected to a sustainable production process. With an increasing number of Indian firms adapting green policies, it can be said the progress in the right direction has started.
