Abstract

The process of image hacking has been amplified these days due to the advent of the Internet and computer technology in this era. A fortunate thing in digital media is digital watermarking which endows various benefits such as copy control, authentication and rights management of digital media. The aim of this work is to improve the secure transmission and proof of ownership which are the two significant applications of the digital image watermarking, and it is achieved by combining the frequency domain (three-level discrete wavelet transforms and scrambling process) along with the spatial domain technique (LSB substitution technique in CbCr colour space and additive pixel technique) in order to improve the visual quality of a watermarked image.
