Abstract
This chapter examines the new psychological dimensions based on Sri Aurobindo’s Integral-developmental perspective can be used to extend the boundaries of the current agenda of the mainstream discipline of human development. It also examines the current research agenda and offers an alternative Integral agenda of research. The aim is to design a future discipline of psychology with Integral metapsychological roots. The key developmental themes collected from Sri Aurobindo’s writings are briefly summarized as framework for the new discipline of study.
By this Yoga we not only seek the Infinite, but we call upon the Infinite to unfold himself in human life.
(Sri Aurobindo 1999, p. 57)
Consciousness is indeed the creatrix of the universe, but love is its saviour.
