Abstract
On the basis of current knowledge, tumors are best classified or delineated based on three parameters: tumor site, histopathologic appearance, and behavior. Lid tumors thus may be classified into a variety of segments depending on clinical and histologic presentation (TNM [tumor, nodes (lymph), metastasis] classification and histopathologic classification, respectively). Staging also may be done based on clinical and histologic correlation.
