Abstract
Orbital emphysema is an uncommon condition, which usually results from air entering the orbit through orbital wall defects due to trauma or surgery. Rarely, it can occur after nose blowing, sneezing, air travel or even spontaneously. Though in most cases it is benign and self-limiting, orbital emphysema may result in orbital compartment syndrome causing permanent visual loss. Immediate identification and management are essential as appropriate and prompt treatment may reverse the visual loss.
