Womack (Ph.D in civil engineering) and Daniel Roos (Ph.D in political science) of MIT, was published by Rawson Associates. This study was done under the direction of the International Motor Vehicle Program at MIT, which was established in early 1985, with the cooperation of Sussex University in England, and Harvard University, as well as the leading automakers of the world.
