Abstract
In the previous chapter, we have proposed a model of residential land use, called an α-landownership model, in which a group of city residents is assumed to own the circular area from the CBD up to a radius α. Although this assumption of a circular land-area (jointly owned by a group of city residents) has been very helpful for simplifying our mathematical analyses, it is nevertheless very restrictive. Therefore, it is desirable to replace this assumption with a more general one.
