Abstract

Firstly, I will introduce myself. I was born in Japan in 1959. About three months after my birth, I received an injection of streptomycin to cure of my bronchitis. When I was 2 years and 6 month old, my severe hearing loss was discovered by my parents. Fortunately, my hearing loss has not advanced since then, and now my hearing level is maintained at 90 dB in my left ear and 94 dB in my right ear. I wear hearing aid only in my left ear because my speech reception threshold for my left ear is good. Since I can not fully catch the talk, I compensate my insufficient hearing by using lip-reading.
