Experiences of Cochlear Implantation at the Seoul National University Hospital

  • Chong Sun Kim

Cochlear implantation (CI) is a well-established method of auditory rehabilitation for the severe and profoundly hearing impaired. About 1,400 patients underwent cochlear implantation since 1988 at 11 CI centers in South Korea, and the number of cases are increasing along with the development of neonatal hearing screening.
