Applications of Acoustical Microscopy in Dermatology
For the last several years my laboratory at the University of California, Irvine has been exploring the biomedical applications of acoustical microscopy. One of our initial application areas was dermatology. Since this has proven to be a most useful area for the application of this technology with the potential of being utilized clinically on a regular and daily basis, I would like to share with you here some of our results and comment on the future applications of this technology for quantitatively characterizing tissue.
