A Classification of Bone Metastases from Breast Cancer

  • Conference paper
Book cover Recent Advances in Musculoskeletal Oncology

Abstract

A classification of disseminated cancer with bone metastases is urgently needed. This classification would facilitate the evaluation of therapeutic results and provide guidelines for the treatment of individual patients. We verified the clinical value of a classification exclusive to patients with disseminated breast cancer with bone metastases, according to the distribution of the metastases in terms of visceral metastases-free rate and survival rate after diagnosis of the bone metastases.
