Abstract
A sintered sample of Bi- or Tl-based superconductor often includes several different phases. Ando and Akita have already proposed a simple and convenient method for estimating the volume fractions of these phases [1,2]. This method consists of the analysis of the reversible M-H curves at different temperatures. On the basis of this method, we made some magnetization measurements on sintered polycrystalline BSCCO samples, and estimated the volume fractions of the 2212 and 2223 phases.
