Shock Effects on Structural and Superconducting Properties of High Tc Oxides

  • Y. Syono

Abstract

Shock compression technique has been applied for the research of high Tc oxides in several different ways. Synthesis of high Tc oxides from component oxides by means of shock compression [1–5], as revealed in successful synthesis of LSCO*, is promising to get new high Tc materials. Enhanced reactivity was also noted in the shock-processed ceramic powders, which could be utilized for easier sinterability.
