Abstract
Doctors are not satisfied with the present medical expert systems. Doctors need know-what under diagnoses and treatments. Most medical expert systems, however, are experts’ know-how oriented. There is a wide gap between know-what approaches and know- how ones. While know- how approaches are represented as shallow knowledge, know-what ones require deep knowledge. In medical sciences, this deep knowledge is represented as physiological models.
