The Evolution of Hip Replacement

The title of my talk probably conjures up a picture of Charles Darwin, who took almost 40 years to tell his story of evolution. I have 40 minutes to tell mine. But I have the advantage of having seen virtually the whole evolution of joint replacement in my own lifetime. I’m sufficiently antique for that. And my account is a personal one, mostly involving people I knew.
