Study of Treatment of Wastewater Produced by Starch Alcohol with 12 M3 Spilled Self-Sucking Fermenter

Abstract

This study applied 12 M5 spilled self-sucking fermenter to treat waste water produced by starch alcohol directly and produce protein feed. The test shows that the greatest sucked volume of air is 3.2 M per minute, and the energy consumed is 0.710 — 0.755 kWH per kg of dry protein feed. When Fungus BG-F and Candida tropic 2637 or 1397 were cultivated together, they grew very well. Dry product yield is 17—23 kg per M’ of the waste water. The COD of the waste water can be reduced 65 - 80% after being treated. The consumption of electricity for fermentation is decreased to 1/3.
