Abstract

The T* phases in (Nd,Ce,Sr)2CuO4-d have been found to be superconducting, having holes as charge carriers. Another new-type superconductors have been discovered in the (Nd,Ce)2CuO4-d having electrons as charge carriers. We have observed that either T* or T’ phase in Nd-Ce-Sr-Cu-O system can be the main and superconducting phase after oxidizing or reducing heat treatment. This T* ↔ T’ phase change can occur reversibly. It is also concluded that the stability of the T* phase depend on the ionic radii of the constituent elements.
